• ₹3,000/- per month for girls.

• ₹2,500/- per month for boys

Note:The above scholarship amount is to be paid annually after selection @ ₹36,000/- to each girl & ₹30,000/- to each boy.

Duration of Scholarship:

Up to 5 years (depending upon the duration of the course being pursued by the applicant and as approved by the respective regulatory body).

Who Can Apply?

For Individuals:

  1. You must be a citizen of India.
  2. Your age should be between 15 and 29 years as of January 1st of the year you are nominated.
  3. You must have a proven track record of outstanding and identifiable social work.

  5. This award can only be received once in a lifetime.

For Voluntary Organizations:

  1. Your organization must be registered for at least three years under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, or a similar state-level act, and have a proper constitution.
  2. The organization must be non-profit.
  3. Your organization should not have discriminated against anyone based on sex, religion, caste, or creed.
  4. The organization must have a history of at least three years of extraordinary service involving youth.
  5. Your organization should have a good reputation in the local community.
  6. The organization should not have received this award before.

How To Get Nominated

The selection process involves a two-tier system:

  1. Screening Committee: Applications are first reviewed by a Screening Committee, chaired by the Joint Secretary of the Department of Youth Affairs. This committee shortlists candidates, typically three times the number of awards to be given.
  2. Central Selection Committee: The final selection is made by the Central Selection Committee, headed by the Secretary of the Department of Youth Affairs. This committee examines the recommendations from the Screening Committee and has the authority to consider other deserving cases based on merit.
