In a bid to foster national pride and unity, the Government of Goa, through its Art, Culture and Museums Department, has introduced a special initiative. The Tiatr Academy is at the forefront, encouraging the creation of musical programmes and tiatrs that highlight patriotism, national integration, and communal harmony.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants can be an individual, an organisation, an educational institution, or a club.
  • The proposed activity must be a tiatr or a musical programme focused on patriotism, national integration, or communal harmony.
  • The performance must last for at least two hours.
  • Applications, along with typed scripts or lyrics, need to be submitted at least 30 days before the scheduled performance date.
  • If the script or lyrics were written or directed by someone other than the applicant, a No Objection Certificate from that individual is required.
  • Scripts and lyrics must not contain any negative remarks about governments, individuals, institutions, or anything that could offend any caste, creed, or religion.

  • A self-attested copy of your Aadhaar Card.
  • A self-attested copy of your Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card.
  • Three typed copies of the song lyrics and the script of the tiatr or skits.
  • A list of participants, as per the format specified in the annexure.
  • A No Objection Certificate from the lyricist, writer, or director, if they are not the applicant.

The Tiatr Academy of Goa will organise up to 4 shows of the programme, and all these shows must be presented to the public free of charge.

What financial aid and other support is provided?

Successful applicants will receive remuneration fixed by the Tiatr Academy of Goa. Additionally, the academy will cover actual hall/auditorium charges or provide a lump sum for performances in makeshift pandals.

What identification documents are needed for the application?

You need to submit self-attested copies of your Aadhaar Card and Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card.

How are applications processed and selected?

Applications are generally considered on a 'First Come, First Serve' basis, subject to the availability of funds. The scheme's implementation depends on the allocated budget.

What must be included in any promotion or advertisement for the shows?

All advertisements, whether print, electronic, or oral, and any banners must clearly state: 'This programme is promoted by Tiatr Academy of Goa'.

Can I get sponsorship from other sources for my programme?

Yes, the Tiatr Academy of Goa has no objection if you decide to seek sponsorship from other sources for your programme.

What are the seating and guest arrangements required?

You need to reserve a few seats for Tiatr Academy of Goa representatives. You also must discuss and decide on the Chief Guest or Guest of Honour with the Tiatr Academy of Goa well in advance.

What do I receive after the performance is over?

The Tiatr Academy of Goa will record your activity and provide you with one copy of the Digital Video Disc (DVD).

Are there any rules about displaying a banner?

Yes, you must compulsorily display the banner provided by Tiatr Academy of Goa on one of the front side wings of the stage. It must be returned after all the shows are concluded.
