    Who Can Apply?

    1. You must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) community.
    2. Your age should be between 18 and 55 years.
    3. You must be a permanent resident of Haryana.
    4. You need to have a Parivar Pehchaan Patra (PPP).
    5. You must be currently unemployed (not working in any government, semi-government, or private sector job).
    6. There are no specific educational qualifications or training requirements for this scheme.
    7. This scheme is for individuals only; groups, firms, or organizations cannot apply.
    8. You will need to sign a Self-Declaration stating you are unemployed and agree to follow the scheme's rules. You can find the format at Annexure-I (Page-9) on the portal.

    How to Apply

    1. The scheme is intended for individual beneficiaries.
    2. You will need to purchase the complete sheep/goat unit (10+1 animals) yourself initially.
    3. Only one person from each household can benefit from either a sheep or a goat unit.
    4. Financial assistance is disbursed through the Concerned Semen Bank officer to the seller's account by the Managing Director, HLDB, after the unit's verification.
    5. Keep in mind that financial assistance might be delayed due to budget constraints or unforeseen issues.
    6. You will receive veterinary support and assistance for wool purchase from the relevant government department.

    What kind of declaration do I need to submit when applying?

    You'll need to submit a Self-Declaration on the portal. This confirms that you are currently unemployed and agree to follow all the conditions set by the scheme.

    Can a group or organization apply for this sheep and goat scheme?

    No, this scheme is strictly for individual beneficiaries. Groups, firms, or organizations are not eligible to apply.

    What financial help can I expect from the Mukhyamantri Bhed/Bakri Palak Uthan Yojana?

    You will receive a 100% subsidy on the unit cost. You initially pay 25% (₹17,500) which is reimbursed, and the government covers the remaining 75% (₹52,500) after you purchase the animals. A further 25% subsidy (₹17,500) is given after unit verification.

    Are there any educational requirements for this scheme?

    Good news! There are no mandatory educational qualifications or training needed to apply for this scheme.

    What exactly do I get under the scheme?

    You will receive a complete unit of 20 female animals (ewes or does) and 1 male animal (ram or buck), along with a feeder for green fodder and salt, completely free.

    Do I need to provide a cheque for the application?

    Yes, a mandatory requirement is to provide a Postdated Cheque of ₹70,000/-, duly signed by you.

    What happens after I receive the animals?

    After one and a half years, when your flock has grown (aiming for 40-50 animals), you will need to return half a unit (10 female and 1 male animal) back to the department.

    What if I already own some sheep or goats?

    The scheme is for unemployed individuals. If you are employed in any sector (government, semi-government, or private), you are not eligible.

    Which documents are essential to submit?

    You must have your Scheduled Caste Certificate, Aadhaar Card, and PAN Card ready. These are mandatory documents for your application.

    Is there any cost for veterinary services under this scheme?

    No, all the animals in your unit will receive necessary veterinary assistance, including deworming, vaccination, and treatment, free of charge from the concerned veterinary institutions.

    How is the financial assistance given?

    The financial aid is sent directly to the seller's account by the Managing Director, HLDB, after the unit is verified. The remaining subsidy is credited to the beneficiary's account after verification of the established unit.
