Benefits

Obstetric Support:
  • For a maximum of two deliveries, the female license holder Hammal and Palledar are entitled to be paid assistance equivalent to 45 days' wages as per the prevailing wage rate determined by the state government as an unskilled labourer.
  • As paternity leave, an amount equivalent to 15 days wages is payable to the Hammal/Tulara/Palledar father of the child as per the prevailing wage rate determined by the State Government as an unskilled laborer.
  • Help for marriage:
  • To the extent of the marriage of a licensed woman and two daughters of a licensed woman, ₹ 50,000/-per marriage assistance is payable.
  • Application has to be submitted in the format prescribed by the concerned licensee 90 days before the marriage.
  • Scholarship / Meritorious Student Award Scheme
  • Every student who gets first-division marks and whose guardian is a licensed Hammal or Palledar in Mandi is given a merit scholarship at the following rate:-

  • Reimbursement of medical expenditures up to a maximum of ₹20,000/-is permitted if a licensed Hammaal or Pulladar becomes gravely ill (due to cancer, heart attack, liver, kidney, etc.) and is admitted to a government hospital or health center.
