Absolutely. The scheme provides one opportunity for re-assessment free of cost if you don't pass the initial certification assessment. The cost for this re-assessment is borne by the scheme.

Yes, the training is offered in four key areas: Geriatric Caregiver (for institutional and home care), Elderly Caretaker (non-clinical), Elderly Care Companion, and Wellness Therapist for the Elderly.

Is this scheme open to everyone, or are there any restrictions on who can apply?

This scheme is exclusively for citizens of India. Additionally, applicants must not be involved in any substance abuse to be considered eligible.

How will my identity and details be verified after I register online?

Your profile verification will be done digitally using a mobile-based One Time Password (OTP) for electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) verification after you register on the Skill India Digital Hub.

What is the duration for each training course?

The durations vary: Geriatric Caregiver (Institutional & Home Care) is 480 hours, Elderly Caretaker (Non-Clinical) is 360 hours, Elderly Care Companion is 450 hours, and Wellness Therapist for Elderly is 570 hours.

What documents do I need to submit for my application?

You will need to provide your Aadhaar Card, proof of age, proof of your educational qualifications, and proof of your residence.

Does the scheme offer any help with finding a job after training?

Yes, the scheme promotes apprenticeships and training linked to direct placements. Training institutes are also encouraged to tie up with employers for proper job placement, and trainees can attend Rozgar Melas.

Is the training conducted online or do I need to attend in person?

The training is conducted 100% in physical classrooms, covering both theoretical and practical sessions at affiliated Training Centres. There are no online or remote learning options available.

What are the class size limits for theoretical and practical sessions?

Theoretical classes can have up to 50 trainees, while practical training sessions are limited to a maximum of 25 trainees to ensure focused learning and hands-on guidance.

Will I receive any study materials?

Yes, you will receive a participant handbook and study materials at the beginning of your training program, free of cost.

What happens if my course requires On the Job Training?

If your selected course includes On the Job Training (OJT), the Training Provider will arrange suitable placements. You need to maintain attendance during OJT, and the final assessment will happen after its completion.
