Details

The Jharkhand government understands that facing a serious illness can be financially devastating. To help registered workers and their families cope with high medical costs, the Department of Labour, Employment, Training & Skill Development has introduced the 'Chikitsa Pratipoorti Yojana'. This scheme is 100% funded by the state and aims to provide a financial cushion for the treatment of critical diseases.

What Is This Scheme?

Chikitsa Pratipoorti Yojana is a special financial assistance program designed for registered workers in Jharkhand. It helps cover the expenses incurred during the treatment of severe health conditions that require significant medical intervention. This initiative ensures that workers don't have to compromise on their health due to financial constraints.

Who Can Benefit From This Scheme?

The primary beneficiaries of this scheme are individuals who are domiciled in Jharkhand and are registered with the 'Jharkhand Building and Other Construction Worker Welfare Board'. Applicants must be 18 years or older and actively engaged in construction-related jobs like masons, carpenters, electricians, painters, and porters. Crucially, the scheme covers only those suffering from specific serious illnesses.

Why This Scheme Is Important

In Jharkhand, many individuals depend on labour work for their livelihood. A sudden serious illness can lead to immense financial strain. The Chikitsa Pratipoorti Yojana addresses this by offering vital financial aid, allowing registered workers to access necessary medical treatments without accumulating crippling debt. It's a step towards ensuring the well-being of the state's workforce.

The Chikitsa Pratipoorti Yojana, run by the Jharkhand government, provides financial support to registered workers for treating major illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, and kidney disease.
