Details

The Social Welfare Department of Chhattisgarh Government launched the 'Disabled Wedding Incentive Scheme' on April 1, 2005. This initiative is designed to support individuals with disabilities by providing financial aid for their marriage. The primary goal is to help these individuals find social acceptance and build a life. It's a great step towards ensuring that disability doesn't become a barrier to marriage and social integration.

What Is This Scheme?

The Disabled Marriage Incentive Scheme offers financial support to persons with disabilities who are getting married. It's specifically for those who do not pay income tax. The scheme aims to encourage and facilitate marriages for differently-abled individuals, promoting their social rehabilitation.

Why This Scheme Is Important

By supporting these marriages, the scheme contributes to a more inclusive society where everyone has the opportunity to form a family.
