Details
Healthcare costs can be a huge burden, especially for ex-servicemen and their widows who don't receive a pension. This scheme, RMEWF - Financial Assistance for Medical Treatment of Ex-Servicemen, aims to ease this financial strain by providing much-needed help for routine medical needs.
The Ex-Servicemen Resettlement & Welfare (RMEWF) scheme provides financial aid to ex-servicemen (ESM) and their widows who are not receiving a pension. It specifically targets those whose rank is Havildar or below, and it helps them cover their day-to-day medical expenses. The goal is to prevent financial hardship and maintain dignity for those who have served the nation.
The primary beneficiaries are non-pensioner Ex-Servicemen and their widows who held the rank of Havildar or equivalent rank and below. It's designed for individuals facing difficulties in managing their medical bills, especially those without other sources of income.
With rising healthcare costs, it's vital to support our veterans and their families. This scheme ensures that ex-servicemen and their widows, particularly those who are not receiving a pension, can access necessary medical treatment without falling into severe financial distress. It's a recognition of their service and a commitment to their well-being.
