How To Apply

Interested couples need to apply jointly in the prescribed application form. The application should be submitted to the concerned authority 15 days prior to the scheduled date of the mass marriage ceremony.

  1. Application Submission: Submit the application form to the appropriate local body. These include the Municipal Corporation, Municipality, City Council, or District Panchayat, depending on whether the location is urban or rural.
  2. Organizing Body: In urban areas, the Municipal Corporation, Municipality, or Municipal Council will organize the mass marriage. In rural areas, the District Panchayat will be responsible for organizing the event.
  3. Dates for Ceremonies: The dates for these mass marriage ceremonies are decided by the minister in-charge of the district. The dates are then registered on the marriage portal by the Joint/Deputy Director of the Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department of the respective district.
  4. Information Dissemination: The scheduled dates for mass marriage ceremonies will be widely publicized to ensure that eligible couples are aware and can apply on time.

Documents Required

  • Proof of Residence: A certificate confirming that the bride or groom's guardian is a native of Madhya Pradesh.
  • Samagra ID: The Samagra ID of the bride and groom. If it's not available, the concerned local authority will provide it. For grooms not residing in Madhya Pradesh, the Samagra ID is not mandatory.
  • Aadhaar Cards: Photocopies of the Aadhaar cards for both the bride and groom.
  • Age Proof: Age certificates for both the bride and groom. Any one of the following documents can be provided:
    • School Leaving Certificate (TC)
    • Marksheet showing the date of birth
    • Birth certificate issued by a competent authority
    • Voter list or Voter ID card showing age or date of birth
    • Age certificate issued by a government medical expert
    • Job Card issued under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme
    • Other legally accepted documents proving age.
  • Photographs: Two passport-sized photographs of both the bride and groom.
  • Mobile Numbers: Mobile numbers of both the bride and groom (if available).
  • Parent's Mobile Number: Mobile number of the bride's or groom's parents (if available).
  • For Widows: If the applicant is a widow (Kalyani), a copy of her husband's death certificate is required.
  • For Abandoned Women: If the applicant is an abandoned woman, a copy of the court order for legal divorce is needed.
  • Registered Labourers: If the beneficiary is a registered labourer with the Madhya Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, a copy of their labour registration card must be submitted. This is because the expenses for up to two daughters of such labourers are covered by this Board.
  • Other Documents: Any other documents as specified by the concerned department.
