Benefits

Institute Scholarships / FellowshipsScholarships are offered to all admitted students. An M.Sc. student is granted a scholarship/fellowship of value Rs.7,500/- p.m. In addition to this, M.Sc. students have a contingent grant of Rs.6,000/- per annum, for meeting out the expenditure on study tours, experimental material, purchase of books and preparation of the thesis, etc.

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)

For Trainees (Before Joining)

  • You must have passed Class 8th.
  • You should be 18 years of age or older.

For Trainees (During Training)

  • To be eligible for a certificate or to take the final test, you must attend at least 80% of the classes.

Important Notes for Trainees

  • Ideally, batches for practical training should have about 20 people.
  • Trainee selection will be fair and transparent. The same person cannot be selected more than once.
  • Both trainees and trainers must link their Aadhaar with their bank accounts and the implementing agency's records.

Before Approval:

After Approval:

  1. Maintain accurate accounts for all training courses and provide utilization certificates for the funds received.
  2. Keep detailed records of trainees, including their name, address, age, category (SC/ST/OBC), and the nature of work they are being trained for.
  3. Maintain a register of training programs with dates, duration, location, type of training, number of trainees, names of trainers, a brief write-up, and expenditure.
  4. Submit Quarterly Progress Reports to the Ministry of Tourism, covering both physical and financial performance.
  5. Collect digital or manual feedback from participants at the end of each tourism awareness program.
  6. Send a video clipping and clear photographs showing the training sessions to the Programme Monitoring Unit (Skill Development) at [email protected].

Absolutely! Guest faculty can earn up to ₹1,500 per hour. Faculty and staff of the implementing agency get ₹750 per hour, capped at 60 sessions annually. Student-trainers receive ₹400 for a two-hour class. The institutes themselves receive 5% to 10% of the total training cost as administrative support, depending on the scope of the training.
