Details

The Directorate General of Training (DGT), under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), has introduced the Flexible Memorandum of Understanding (Flexi-MoU) Scheme. This initiative is a game-changer for both businesses and aspiring professionals.

What Is This Scheme?

The Flexi-MoU Scheme lets companies train individuals based on their specific job requirements. It ensures that the training provided is directly linked to what the industry needs right now and what new technologies are being used. This means trainees get exposure to real-world work environments and in-demand skills.

Who Can Benefit From This Scheme?

This scheme is a win-win. Businesses get a ready pool of skilled manpower tailored to their needs. Trainees get practical, hands-on training that increases their chances of landing a good job right after completion.

Why This Scheme Is Important

It’s all about making skill development more practical and relevant. By allowing flexibility in course design, candidate selection, and assessment, the scheme ensures that training keeps pace with the fast-changing job market. It also aims to streamline the training process, offer certification through e-National Trade Certificate (e-NTC), and help track where trainees get placed.

Objective

This scheme bridges the gap between industry needs and trainee aspirations, allowing companies to train candidates with the exact skills they require and offering trainees a practical learning experience with the latest technology.

Benefits

Under this scheme, domestic water connections are provided by depositing a nominal connection fee of ₹1.00 and an application fee of ₹25.00.

Can companies create their own training programs?

Absolutely! The scheme encourages ITPs to develop customized courses that fit industry requirements. These courses should cover theory, practical work, and on-the-job training.

Upon successful completion, trainees are awarded an e-National Trade Certificate (e-NTC) by the Directorate General of Training (DGT).

ITPs have the flexibility to decide on the training fees. They also have the option to provide a stipend to the trainees during the training period.
