Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scheme, both educational institutes and students need to meet certain conditions:

For Educational Institutes:

  • The institute must be registered or have a business presence in Goa.
  • The technical skill training program offered must be approved by the SPC.
  • The training must be in one of the approved technical domains: Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Interaction Design, Big Data Analytics, Robotics, 3-D Printing, Data Science, Drones, Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality/Merged Reality, or other fields as approved by the SPC.

For Students:

  • Students who are currently studying for their graduation or have completed their graduation within the last two years can enroll.
  • Expenditure for the course must have been incurred after the Goa Start-up Policy 2017 was announced and within its validity period.
  • Fees should have been paid digitally. If digital payment wasn't possible, the SPC will decide case-by-case after its own review.

Who is a "Student"?

Under this scheme, a "student" is defined as someone who meets at least one of these criteria:

  • Born in Goa and studying either in Goa or elsewhere.
  • Has been a domicile of Goa for 10 years or more and is studying in Goa or elsewhere.
  • Is studying in an educational institute in Goa, even if they are not a Goa domicile.

What is a "Goan Educational Institute"?

This refers to any institute that is registered or currently operating within the state of Goa.

How To Apply

Students interested in this scheme should follow these steps:

  1. Ensure your chosen technical skill training program is approved by the SPC and offered by a Goan educational institute.
  2. Complete the training program successfully.
  3. Gather all the required documents, including the application form (Annexure 1), student's Aadhaar card, course completion certificate, SPC's program approval copy, and original fee receipts.
  4. Submit the complete application form and all supporting documents. The application and document submission details will be as specified by the SPC.

Important Note: You can apply for this scheme any time within 6 months of incurring the course expenses.
