Eligibility Criteria
- The applying organisation must be a registered voluntary organisation (VO) or non-governmental organisation (NGO) actively working for the welfare of Scheduled Tribes (STs).
- The organisation must be registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, or a State Society Registration Act, or as a Public Trust.
- Mandatory registration with the NGO-Darpan portal of NITI Aayog is required. Visit www.ngodarpan.gov.in.
- Minimum of three years of experience in running similar activities is necessary.
- The organisation must implement projects directly without sub-contracting to other entities.
- Agreement to comply with terms and conditions and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry is required.
- An Aadhaar-linked bank account in the organisation's name, operated jointly by the President and Secretary or authorised signatories, is necessary.
- The organisation must possess a PAN and TAN Number and have filed Income Tax Returns (ITR) for at least the last three years.
- Registration under Section 12A of the Income Tax Act is compulsory.
- The organisation should not be facing bankruptcy or any inquiries/investigations for economic offences by government agencies.
- The organisation must demonstrate sound financial capacity to partially co-finance the project.
- Details of trustees, promoters, beneficial owners, and the Management Committee, along with their PAN and Aadhaar numbers, must be submitted.
- The organisation should not have been blacklisted by NITI Aayog or any government organisation.
- A minimum of 75 beneficiaries are generally required for project commencement. For educational projects, a minimum of 25 ST students may be considered with justification and approval.
