To ensure their contributions are remembered and celebrated, the Tiatr Academy, under the Art, Culture and Museums Department of the Government of Goa, has a special scheme. It’s all about honouring the Tiatr artistes of yesteryears.

The "Commemoration of Jubilees/Birth Anniversaries of Tiatr Artistes of Yesteryears" scheme is designed to keep the memory of deceased Tiatr artists alive. It helps in organizing events like jubilee or birth anniversary celebrations for these cultural pioneers.     Eligibility Criteria

    • The applicant must be an organization or an individual.
    • The proposed programme should celebrate the jubilee or birth anniversary of a deceased Tiatr artiste.
    • The programme must aim to inform the younger generation about the contributions and sacrifices of these past artistes.
    • A key part of the programme must include narrating the life story and history of the late artiste being honoured.
    • Family members of the deceased artiste must be invited to attend the event.
    • Applications need to be submitted well in advance with all programme details, including typed scripts and lyrics, along with the names of performers.
    • All advertisements and announcements (oral, print, electronic media, banners) must state: "This programme is held in collaboration with Tiatr Academy of Goa."
    • A Tiatr Academy of Goa banner must be displayed on the stage's front side wing for Tiatr performances and returned afterward.
    • For Musical Shows, a backdrop banner of at least 6ft x 10ft featuring the Tiatr Academy of Goa's logo is required.
    • The Chief Guest/Guest of Honour for the function should be decided in consultation with the Tiatr Academy of Goa beforehand.
    • The President or Vice President of the Tiatr Academy of Goa must be the Chief Guest or Guest of Honour at the function.
    • The programme must run for a minimum of 2 hours.
    • No adverse remarks against any Government, Individual, or Institution, or anything hurting religious sentiments, caste, or creed should be made during the programme.

    How To Apply

    1. Prepare a detailed proposal including the typed script, lyrics, and names of participating artistes.
    2. Obtain a No Objection Certificate from the nearest family members of the deceased artiste.
    3. Self-attest copies of your Aadhaar Card and Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card.
    4. Submit the complete application form along with all supporting documents to the Tiatr Academy of Goa. Ensure this is done at least 30 days before the planned event date.
    5. Applications are accepted on a "First come First Serve" basis, subject to fund availability.
    6. Post-Programme Submission: After the event, submit a statement of expenditure with all original bills. For bills over ₹5,000/-, ensure a stamped receipt is enclosed. Also, submit 5 photographs of the function, including two showing the Tiatr Academy of Goa’s banner.
