Who is eligible to apply for the Arunachal Pradesh Entrepreneurship Challenge?
The challenge is open to residents of Arunachal Pradesh who are over 18 years old and have a business idea or a plan. This includes existing entrepreneurs, MSME-registered businesses, college graduates, self-employed individuals with innovative businesses, and members of organized producer groups. Even Arunachalis living abroad but planning to return and start a business can apply.
What kind of businesses are not allowed under this scheme?
You cannot apply if your business is an expansion of an existing one (including a family business). Additionally, business plans or ventures related to Alcohol, Tobacco, Gambling, Firearms, and Explosives are not permitted.
Is being a resident of Arunachal Pradesh a requirement to apply?
Yes, it is mandatory to have a domicile certificate of Arunachal Pradesh to be eligible for this program.
What financial support can participants expect from the challenge?
The top 10 entrepreneurs selected will receive up to ₹5,00,000, while the next 40 entrepreneurs will get up to ₹4,00,000. This funding is for those chosen for the Incubation and Pre-Incubation programmes facilitated by IIM Calcutta Innovation Park.
