Benefits

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, assistance is provided for constructing housing in four ways:

  1. In-situ Slum Redevelopment
  2. Credit-Linked Subsidy
  3. Affordable Housing in Partnership
  4. Beneficiary-led Individual House Construction or Enhancement

The benefits, eligibility, and process for the above-mentioned point (3) “Affordable Housing Component in Partnership” are as follows:

Under this scheme, individuals belonging to the lower-income group residing in the state are provided with a pucca house with a carpet area of up to 30 sq. m. along with basic amenities such as electricity, drinking water, etc. Currently, the Housing Department has proposed the construction of 15,960 EWS (Economically Weaker Section) houses under approximately 20 projects across various cities in the state.

For the ongoing projects, the sale price per housing unit has been fixed at ₹6.00 lakh, of which ₹1.50 lakh will be provided by the Central Government, ₹1.50 lakh by the State Government, and the remaining ₹3.00 lakh per unit will be borne by the beneficiary. In addition, to ensure timely completion of the projects, the State Government has also provided VGF (Viability Gap Funding) of ₹50,000 per unit.

    • AYUSH teaching institutions recognized under the IMCC Act, 1970, and the HCC Act, 1973.

  2. Demonstrated Eminence: The organization must provide evidence of its existing excellence at the state level and its potential to become a national Centre of Excellence.
  3. Legal Registration: Must be registered under the Societies Registration Act, Trust Act, Companies Act, or a similar relevant act.
  4. Competent Staff: Should have qualified core staff in the proposed area of specialization.
  5. Governance: Must have a clear and trustworthy governing body and management committee with respected individuals.
  6. Previous Funding: Applicants need to disclose any past government assistance received and the status of its Utilization Certificate.
  7. Accreditation: The institution should hold valid accreditation like NABH/NAAC or similar certifications.

How To Apply

The application process involves submitting a detailed proposal and required documents:

  1. Prepare your application as per Annexure – A.
  2. Submit two copies of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for your proposal.
  3. For Non-Governmental Organizations/Institutes, attach attested copies of the Registration Certificate, Memorandum of Association, and By-laws.
  4. Provide attested copies of the Audited Statement of Accounts for the last 5 consecutive years.
  5. Include a note detailing past activities and major achievements in the AYUSH sector over the last five years.
  6. For Non-Governmental Organizations/Institutes, submit a statement of the organization's bank account for the last 6 months.
  7. Provide a detailed plan outlining the component-wise activities envisioned for the project.
  8. Submit a statement detailing any grants-in-aid previously received from any organization or government department.
  9. Include a list of publications, if any.
  10. Provide documents that support your organization's track record in the proposed field of excellence.
  11. Submit supporting documents claiming your institute's eminence in the state for the specific work area, as per Annexure – D.
  12. Clearly state the proposed objectives of excellence and their justification.
  13. Highlight track record of meritorious accomplishments over the last five years.
  14. Include a profile of available staff and infrastructure.
  15. Mention any National and International awards received.
  16. Provide a broad budget estimate for the 03-year program.
  17. Submit any existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with nationally or internationally reputed institutes.
  18. Detail the current Outpatient Department (OPD), Inpatient Department (IPD) services, and equipment available. Also, specify the OPD & IPD numbers you aim to achieve and equipment you wish to upgrade.
  19. Describe the current infrastructure and the proposed desired infrastructure.
  20. List the top 5 specialization areas of your organization.

Important Note: Additional documents like a Bank Guarantee, Registration with NITI Aayog, and a Bond may be required before the grant is released, after receiving the approval letter from the Ministry of AYUSH.
