    To be eligible for the Pratyasha Scheme, police personnel must meet the following conditions:

    1. Police personnel serving in West Bengal Police and Kolkata Police, including ranks like Deputy Superintendent (Non-WBPS)/ Assistant Commissioner, Inspector, Sub-Inspector/ Sergeant, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Constable, and their equivalents, can apply.
    2. For 'A' Category Flats (approx. 1123 sq. ft.): Applicants in the ranks of Deputy Superintendent (Non-WBPS)/ Assistant Commissioner, Inspector, Sub-Inspector/ Sergeant, or equivalent, whose total pay (Basic Pay + Grade Pay) is ₹18,000/- or more.
    3. For 'B' Category Flats (approx. 926 sq. ft.): Applicants in the ranks of Inspector, Sub-Inspector/ Sergeant, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Constable, or equivalent, whose total pay (Basic Pay + Grade Pay) is ₹15,000/- or more.
    4. For 'C' Category Flats (approx. 794 sq. ft.): Applicants in the ranks of Assistant Sub-Inspector, Constable, or equivalent, whose total pay (Basic Pay + Grade Pay) is ₹8,840/- or more.
    5. Each eligible police personnel can submit only one application. Family members cannot apply separately.
    6. Joint applications are allowed, but only with immediate family members (spouse, parents, children). The primary applicant must be the eligible West Bengal Police or Kolkata Police personnel.
    7. Only one flat will be allotted per eligible applicant.
    8. The Corporation reserves the right to relax any of these conditions without providing a reason.

    Applications for the Pratyasha Scheme are processed as follows:

    1. Obtain the application form. You can download it from the official website of Kolkata Police: www.kolkatapolice.gov.in.
    2. Complete the application form accurately and ensure all required details are filled in.
    3. Submit the completed application form along with the Demand Draft/ Pay Order/ Banker’s Cheque (as per the category of the dwelling unit and for parking space if applicable) at the following address:
      West Bengal Police Housing & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, Araksha Bhawan (3rd Floor), Block DJ, Sector-II, Salt Lake City, Kolkata- 700 091.

    The allotment of flats will be done through a lottery on a random selection basis. If any flats remain unallotted after the lottery, they will be offered to eligible applicants on a 'first come, first served' basis or another lottery draw. If applications are fewer than the available flats, allotments will be made on a 'first come, first served' basis.

    Documents Required

    When applying for the Pratyasha Scheme, ensure you have the following documents ready:

    • Demand Draft/ Pay Order/ Banker’s Cheque for the applicable amount for the chosen dwelling unit category.
    • Demand Draft/ Pay Order/ Banker’s Cheque for an additional amount if you are applying for parking space.
    • One self-attested photocopy of the applicant's PAN Card. If a joint applicant is included, their PAN Card photocopy is also required.
    • Salary Certificate of the applicant (and joint applicant, if any), issued by the Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) in the prescribed format (usually annexed with the application form).
    • Two sets of passport-size photographs, with your signature on the back of each photo.
    • One canceled cheque of the applicant's bank account.
    • A copy of the first page of the applicant's Bank Account Pass Book, clearly showing the name, address, account number, and branch code.
