Ujjain Simhasta Kumbh Mela storm kills 10, over 100 injured as tents collapses

Tragedy stroked Ujjain Kumbh Mela killing at least 10 people injuring more than 100. Heavy rains lightning, thunder and hailstorm caused stampede and collapse of tents at the Simhastha Kumbha Mela. Lakhs of people had gathered for the holy bath at the ghats in Ujjain, when tents erected at the mela collapsed, creating panic. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the kin of dead and Rs 50,000 to those injured.
