Stock exchange dips as RBI discontinue Rs 500, 1000 denomination notes

Stock exchange dipped on Wednesday morning as Indian government discontinued Rs 500 and 1000 denomination notes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement about demonetising Rs 1000 and Rs 500 currency notes was on Tuesday hailed as a "bold step".
