ISRO launches India's first space shuttle RLV-TD, Know why it is important

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully test launched the first 'Made in India' space shuttle today morning from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. The test launch of the 6.5 metre long and 1.75 ton reusable launch vehicle ( RLV-TD ) occurred at 7 am on Monday from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre. The government has invested Rs 95 crores in the RLV-TD project.
