Hardik Patel released from jail after nine months, was arrested for sedition

Hardik Patel has been released nine months after he was arrested for sedition. As he stepped outside prison, he was welcomed like a hero. Hundreds of people reached Surat today morning outside the Lajpore Central Jail, from where Patidar protest leader Hardik Patel walked out. Hardik came into the picture a year ago as he became the face of demonstrations by the influential Patidar community for quotas in jobs and education.
