Shyam Rangeela, a popular Indian comedian and mimicry artist, has announced that he will contest the Lok Sabha elections from Varanasi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rangeela gained fame by imitating PM Modi in his videos, with his first viral video dating back to 2016. Hailing from a village in Rajasthan, he rose to prominence through his uncanny imitation of the Prime Minister’s voice. In his campaign, Rangeela aims to provide voters with an alternative choice and address issues such as education and health. The Varanasi constituency will go to polls in the seventh phase on June 1.
