23 Dangerous Dog Breeds Banned in India: Protecting Public Safety
The Central government of India has taken a significant step by banning 23 dog breeds due to concerns related to safety and public well-being. These breeds are considered dangerous, and their prohibition aims to promote responsible pet ownership and prevent potential harm to humans. The decision was made after a committee, which included experts and animal welfare groups, submitted their report in response to a Delhi High Court order. The court had previously banned some dog breeds from being kept as pets, prompting the Union of India to deliberate and arrive at a unanimous decision. Here is the complete list of the banned dog breeds.
