Rahul Gandhi Visits Hathras To Console Families Affected By Deadly Satsang Stampede

On July 2, a stampede at self-styled godman Baba Bhole's satsang in Hathras resulted in the deaths of 121 people. The UP Police arrested six members of the organising committee on Thursday, all of whom worked as volunteers at the event. Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, visited Hathras on Friday to meet with the families of the victims and also travelled to Aligarh to meet other affected families.
