Hathras Stampede Photos: Atleast 116 Dead, 150 Injured At Bhole Baba's Satsang In Uttar Pradesh
On July 2, 2024, a tragic stampede occurred during a Hindu religious event in Hathras district, Uttar Pradesh, India. At least 116 people, mostly women and children, lost their lives, and over 150 others were injured. The incident took place during a satsang (spiritual discourse) organized by local preacher Narayan Sakar Hari (also known as Bhole Baba) in the village of Mughal Garhi. The overcrowded event, with over 15,000 attendees despite a capacity for 5,000, faced heat, dust storms, and narrow exits.
