Early on Friday morning, a heavy downpour in Delhi, possibly the highest in June since 2009, led to a roof collapse at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport's Terminal-1, resulting in one death and eight injuries. The incident occurred around 5 am when a portion of the canopy at the old Departure forecourt collapsed due to over 148 mm of rain within three hours.
