PM Modi Congratulates Nitish Kumar For Swearing-In As CM, Promises Development In Bihar
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated Janata Dal-United (JDU) supremo Nitish Kumar for taking oath as Chief Minister of Bihar for the record 9th time. Nitish Kumar took oath in Patna in the presence of Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, BJP Chief JP Nadda, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, LJP's Chirag Paswan, and other dignitaries.
Taking it to Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his wishes to CM Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha. In his message, PM Modi promised development in Bihar and showed confidence in Nitish Kumar's cabinet which will fulfill the aspirations of people of the state.

In a post in Hindi on he micro-blogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, PM Modi said "The NDA government formed in Bihar will leave no stone unturned for the development of the state and to fulfill the aspirations of its people. I congratulate Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ji and Samrat Chaudhary ji and Vijay Sinha ji on taking oath as Deputy Chief Ministers."
"I am confident that this team will serve my family members of the state with full dedication," PM Modi added.
After taking the Chief Minister's oath, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar told the media that members of his party were not happy with the alliance with RJD, so JDU parted ways with Mahagathbandhan.
Janata Dal-United believes in working for the development of Bihar and the people of Bihar. We were misguided in between, but now we are back with the original alliance, CM Nitish said.
Bihar's newly elected Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, after the swearing-in ceremony, said, "We will win all 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. In 2020 we won the elections and defeated Lalu Yadav's family and will do the same in future also."
