Pashupati Paras' RLJP Steps Out Of NDA, Will Contest Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 On All 243 Seats
Ahead of Bihar assembly elections 2025, Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) chief Pashupati Kumar Paras parted ways with BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Paras said his party's ideology and thoughts no longer align with allies BJP and JD(U) on several social issues.
RLJP chief made this big announcement during a key press conference held in Patna today. Pashupati Paras also shared his party's strategy for the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls and mentioned that RLJP will contest on all 243 seats.

Paras added grievances about the lack of respect his party got in NDA, despite unwavering loyalty towards PM Modi since 2014.
He criticized the BJP and JD(U) for excluding the RLJP from critical discussions and narratives, particularly offending was their reference to themselves as the "five Pandavas" of Bihar politics, blatantly ignoring the RLJP's presence and contributions. "In every NDA meeting, the BJP and JD(U) state presidents spoke of the five Pandavas in Bihar politics, but they never even mentioned RLJP. This was humiliating," Paras stated, expressing the deep-rooted neglect that led to this significant political shift.
Paras's announcement not only signifies the RLJP's exit from the NDA but also opens up potential avenues for collaboration with other political entities, particularly the opposition Mahagathbandhan, which comprises the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, and Left parties. "We are preparing to go solo, but if we are given the respect we deserve at the right time, we are open to discussions with the Mahagathbandhan," Paras remarked, indicating a willingness to form alliances based on mutual respect and shared political objectives.
