#JusticeforAditya: Police to seize Manorama Devi’s properties if she fails to surrender
Gaya, May 13: The Gaya police will soon seize properties of JDU, MLC Manorama Devi if she fails to surrender before police.
Manorama Devi's house was sealed by the police on Wednesday (May 11) who is said to be on the run after arrest warrant issued against her under new state excise law.
The alcohol seized from her house during a search operation has been sent to the state laboratory for investigation.
Meanwhile, Manorama Devi filled an anticipatory bail plea in the Gaya court after an arrest warrant issued against her over liquor prohibition in Bihar. However, the district judge will hear her plea on Monday, (May 16).
"Everyone has right to move for anticipatory bail plea and there is legal process for everything," Neeraj Kumar, JDU spokesperson was quoted as saying by OneIndia.
"Government taking all possible efforts to act against the crime," added Kumar.
While speaking to OneIndia, Aditya's mother, Chanda Sachdeva said that "Why police is not tracing the call record of Manorama Devi as she is hiding in Bihar. We want CBI probe in this case."
"Government has ensured that the judgment will be given in favour of Aditya." she concluded.
