Bihar: Police brutality leads to man's death in Jamui district

, a man was tortured so mercilessly by the men in

, that he succumbed to his injuries.

According to a Daily Bhaskar report, the incident took place in Jamui district when a man named Munna Singh was not only brutally beaten up, but cops inserted petrol and red chilli powder inside his private parts.

Munna was accused of abducting the Superintendent of Police. That's why he was subjected to the inhumane torture that resulted into his death.

The court had remanded Munna to two days police custody.

After Munna's condition got deteriorated, the jail inmated demanded for his treatment in a hospital, but he died shortly before he could be treated.

The angered people even pelted stones at the police station and jamed the route from Jamui to Lakhi Sarai.

Two police officials have been booked in connection with the case.
