This marks a decline of Rs 5,000 per kg compared to the previous trading session.

For bulk buyers, 100 grams of silver is trading at Rs 25,200, down Rs 500 from the previous session, while 1 kg of silver is priced at Rs 2,52,000, marking a decline of Rs 5,000.

Silver MCX Price Today: Check Spot Silver Rate

Silver futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) were trading lower on January 8, 2026. At 10:48 AM IST, the MCX silver contract expiring on March 5, 2026 was quoted at Rs 2,46,300 per kg, under the Precious Metals segment.

The contract recorded a decline of Rs 4,305 per kg, or 1.72 percent, compared to the previous session. Silver had opened higher at Rs 2,51,041 per kg, but selling pressure during the session pushed prices lower.

The previous closing price of the contract stood at Rs 2,50,605 per kg, while trading volume was reported at 2,554 lots, indicating active participation in the market. The spot price of silver was quoted at Rs 90,951.
