Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan removed from AAP National Council
New Delhi, March 28: Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, the two senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, who had a serious clash with the party's top leadership, were on Saturday removed from the party's National Executive during a meeting of the body here. [Yadav, Bhushan to form new party?]
Two hundred out of 300 members of the council signed the petition to oust the duo, reports said. They were removed from the party's political affairs committee earlier. [Yadav sits in a dharna ahead of meeting]
Yadav and Bhushan were seen walking out the meeting. Yadav said complete chaos prevailed in the meeting and the party legislators interrupted during the speech of party convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. 280 out of 298 members backed the ouster while 10 opposed it, 8 abstained
Yadav, Bhushan and their supporters, who were visibly upset, said Kejriwal's people did what the CM had said, i.e., to kick the conspiracy-makers out of the party. They said the meeting was a complete farce and it saw the murder of democracy. [Yogendra Yadav spreading lies, says Ashutosh]
