When Barack Obama took out a Hanuman statuette from his pocket

New Delhi, Jan 28: Union Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday said in a tweet that US President Barack Obama, who was on a three-day visit to India recently, took out a statuette of Hanuman from his pocket to show it to Pratibha Advani after the latter asked him about his Hanuman connection. Pratibha Advani, a producer, anchor and television host, is the daughter of former deputy prime minister LK Advani.

Obama came to India with First Lady Michelle Obama and a delegation to serve as the chief guest at the 66th Republic Day ceremony held on January 26. Becoming the first US president to do so, Obama also attended a number of formal and informal occasions during his visit, which led to both national and international repercussions.
