Weather Forecast: Brace For More Rain And Thunderstorm This Week
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted rainfall in several parts of the country, including the northwestern parts, till May 31 with peak activity on May 29 and May 30.
"Light or moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning and occasional gusty winds/squalls very likely over Northwest India between May 28 to May 31 with peak activity on May 29 and May 30 and reduction thereafter," the weather department said in its daily weather bulletin.

The IMD said that hailstorm very likely at isolated places over northwest Rajasthan during 28th-30th May; Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh on 29th and 30th and Uttarakhand on 29th May.
It also predicted that thunderstorm and gusty wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph likely to hit the isolated places over West Uttar Pradesh on 28th and 29th; Rajasthan during 28th-30th May and Haryana, Delhi & Uttarakhand on 29th May.
Heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over north Rajasthan on 29 May, according to IMD.
Central India
Light or moderate isolated to scattered rainfall with thunderstorm,lightning, gusty winds very likely over Madhya Pradesh during next 3 days and reduction thereafter.
South India
Light or moderate fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorm,lightning, gusty winds very likely over Kerala, Lakshadweep and scattered rainfall over South Interior Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh during next 5 days.
Heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Tamil Nadu on 31st May & 01st June, Kerala on 9th, 31st May & 01st June and over South Interior Karnataka during 31st May & 01st June.
