Vikaspuri Constituency Result 2025: Can AAP’s Mahinder Yadav Secure A Third Term? Key Contenders In Focus
Vikaspuri is a well-known residential area in West Delhi, often regarded as an upscale locality. It is home to several prominent personalities, including cricketers Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan, as well as singers Daler Mehndi, Milind Gaba, and Aastha Gill. The area is known for its well-developed infrastructure, connectivity, and residential appeal.
The Vikaspuri Assembly constituency was created following the delimitation process in 2008. It is one of the ten assembly segments that form the West Delhi parliamentary constituency. The other nine constituencies in this parliamentary seat include Uttam Nagar, Rajouri Garden, Hari Nagar, Tilak Nagar, Janakpuri, Matiala, Dwarka, Madipur, and Najafgarh. Since its formation, Vikaspuri has been a politically significant seat in Delhi.

Top Contenders In Vikaspuri Constituency
Jitender Solanki is contesting from the Indian National Congress (INC). He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Kurukshetra University, Haryana, which he completed in 2012. His declared assets are worth Rs 4.38 crore, and he has no criminal cases registered against him.
Pankaj Kumar Singh is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate. He is a qualified dental professional with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from Magadh University, Bihar, which he obtained in 1998. His declared assets amount to Rs 4.92 crore. He has one criminal case registered against him.
Mahinder Yadav is the candidate from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He has completed his education up to Class 10 from a CBSE Board Government School in Matiala, Delhi, in 1980. His declared assets are valued at Rs 3.84 crore, and he has one criminal case against him.
Vikaspur Previous Election Results
In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, Mahinder Yadav secured a victory for AAP, receiving 1,33,898 votes. His closest competitor, BJP's Sanjay Singh, obtained 91,840 votes. The Congress candidate, Mukesh Sharma, lagged far behind with only 8,319 votes.
A similar trend was observed in the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections. Mahinder Yadav won the seat for AAP with 1,32,437 votes. BJP's Sanjay Singh finished second, receiving 54,772 votes, while Congress candidate Nand Kishor secured 19,540 votes.
It remains to be seen whether Mahinder Yadav can retain his seat for a third consecutive term. With BJP and Congress fielding new candidates, the contest in Vikaspuri could be closely watched.
