Veteran journalist MJ Akbar joins BJP, calls Narendra Modi a visionary

Among the latest to join the BJP is senior journalist MJ Akbar.
Akbar, who was inducted into the BJP by president Rajnath Singh, said India today needs a visionary like Narendra Modi. Talks were also on that the journalist might be fielded as a candidate in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

Also ex-bureaucrat and Rajya Sabha member of the JD(U) NK Singh is expected to be inducted in the BJP on Saturday. Singh quit the JD(U) on Friday, saying that the JD(U) leadership left him disappointed. He accused party leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of ignoring development.
