Vasant Kunj Tragedy: Mercedes Hits Pedestrians, 1 Dead, 2 Injured; Driver Detained

At least one person has died and two others sustained injuries after a Mercedes car struck three individuals in Vasant Kunj, Delhi, early Sunday morning. According to Delhi Police, the accident took place at 2:33 AM near Ambience Mall.

Officials confirmed that one of the victims succumbed to injuries, while the other two were injured in the crash. The driver has been identified and taken into custody.

"The driver, identified as Shivam, 29, a resident of Karol Bagh, New Delhi, has been apprehended. At the time of the incident, he was driving with his wife and elder brother in the vehicle. Preliminary investigations suggest that the car lost balance due to a diversion and hit a pole near an auto stand, where the three victims were standing," said Delhi Police.
