The DFS deployed a specialized fleet to the scene, including four water tenders, two water bowsers, a breathing support unit, and a Quick Response Vehicle. Led by Assistant Divisional Officer Yashwant Singh Meena alongside station officers Mukul Bhardwaj, Samarth Lal, and Raj Kumar, first responders faced grueling conditions navigating the cramped alleyways to reach the building.
Firefighters managed to bring the raging flames under control by 3:45 am, officially wrapping up firefighting operations fifteen minutes later. However, the rescue mission continued well into the morning. Crews successfully pulled six trapped occupants from the building, including a final survivor discovered during the cooling-down phase.
The rescued individuals were rushed to a nearby hospital via Centralised Accident and Trauma Services (CATS) ambulances. Additionally, emergency workers evacuated at least eight other injured residents earlier in the operation, transferring them to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for urgent treatment.
