Sushma Swaraj has committed a criminal act, says Rahul Gandhi
New Delhi, July 23: After there was uproar in the Parliament on Thursday, July 23 over the Lalit Modi-Sushma Swaraj issue, Congress President Rahul Gandhi hit out at PM Narendra Modi.
As a mark of protest Congress Lok Sabha MPs wore black bands and demanded the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj following which the Lok Sabha was adjourned till 12 noon.
Meanwhile, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said that protests inside the Lok Sabha were not being shown on camera. "That is Modi's style of suppressing," said Gandhi. He also questioned Modi's silence over other issues including the Vyapam scam.
Rahul went on to add that Narendra Modi was the Prime Minister of the country and not just the BJP. "His promises should carry some weight," said Rahul.

Rahul said that 'Sushma Swaraj had committed a criminal act and that she has helped a fugitive.'
Meanwhile, Congress and other opposition parties decided to maintain the 'no resignation, no discussion' stand in the Parliament. BJP, on the other hand, said that Rahul must be answerable to the people for all the corruption cases under the UPA regime.
