Singer Shibani Kashyap joins BJP via online membership drive

New Delhi, July 6: As the BJP launched an online membership campaign across Delhi, famous singer Shibani Kashyap got herself enrolled in the party on Sunday.

Shibani also officially announced her association with the BJP on the micro-blogging websiter Twitter:

Very happy to join BJP #BJPmembershiponlinecampaign with my full support and faith @BJP4India @BJPRajnathSingh @narendramodi #BJP

According to reports, party veteran L K Advani and the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh launched the "join BJP" online membership drive to generate support ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi.

During the launch, Singh said, "Had it not been good governance provided by our party-run state governments and had we not have a popular leader like Narendra Modi then we would not have achieved this tremendous electoral results. Probably, the kind of faith people reposed on us could not have been possible. After observing the performances of various BJP-run state governments, people realised that if any political party can give good governance and development-oriented government then it is BJP. So we got a clear majority at the Centre."
