SDM wants police to probe Sunanda Pushkar's death

In his report, the SDM has said that Sunanda had died of poisioning and has asked police to probe the cause of poisoning. The SDM has also asked the police to specifically probe the murder/suicide angle.
Previously the forensic reports had revealed that Sunanda Pushkar's death was caused by drug poisioning. The autopsy report also suggested that there were injury marks on her body, hinting at a scuffle.
Doctors say that this means that Sunanda did not die because of an inadvertent drug overdose but by deliberate administration of drugs aimed to end life. Whether this was suicidal or homicidal, the doctors are unable to say, adding that was for the police to establish.
Meanwhile Union Minister Shashi Tharoor has hinted of quiting politics saying that he didn't want the 'whole episode to affect the Congress party.'
