Saif Ali Khan maybe stripped of Padma Shri after activist's complaint

New Delhi, Aug 7: Bollywood actor

may be stripped of his

award after an activist filed a complaint against him.

According to reports, RTI activist SC Agarwal filed a complaint with the Home Ministry demanding that the actor be stripped of the award which he received in 2010.

Agarwal said that Khan still had a case where he got into a scuffle in a restaurant against him. A mumbai court had framed charges against him for alleged scuffle in a restaurant.

The Ministry later replied saying that they were 'examining' the matter.

Alongwith Khan two others were also charged under Section 325 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. It is alleged that Khan punched a South African- based businessman and his father-in-law.

Khan was conferred with the Padma Shri in 2010 for his contribution in the field of art.

Meanwhile director Mahesh Bhat tweeted-
