Ravi Kishan's Daughter Ishita Shukla Joins Defence Forces; Netizens Shower Praise

Bhojpuri actor-turned-politician Ravi Kishan's daughter has joined the defence forces under the Agnipath scheme.

BJP MP Ravi Kishan took to his social media to share the news about her 21-year-old daughter.

Netizens applauded Ishita for choosing a different career path for herself despite being a 'star kid'.

"On one hand, many leaders of the country want to make their children leaders and make their future in politics, on the other, respectable Ravi Kishann ji's daughter will serve the country truly by joining the country's army, I salute such a father," tweeted a user.

"One more achievement has been added to the good fortune of Gorakhpur. Hearty congratulations to Ishita Shukla, daughter of Gorakhpur's popular MP Shri Ravi Kishann ji, on becoming a 'Female Agniveer'! Now she will join Defence Force as a soldier under Agnipath Scheme," commented another.

Last year, the government launched Agnipath a recruitment scheme for Indian youth to serve in the armed forces.

Selected youth under the scheme will be known as Agniveers and they will be offered an opportunity to apply for enrolment in the permanent cadre.
