Rahul Gandhi responsible for poor crowd, feel Raj Congress candidates

According to the state-based candidates, Gandhi's delayed arrivals at the rally venues had an adverse affect on the audience as many left after turning impatient. The same was found at a rally in New Delhi where Gandhi arrived much behind the schedule and had to drastically cut short his speech because of the thinning crowd. Even Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit had to urge the people to hear the Congress vice-president but of little success.
Rahul Gandhi's delayed arrivals turned off the crowd, feel candidates
According to the DNA report, people of the state are more angry with the Centre for doing little to curb inflation and rising prices than the state government, felt the candidates. The Congress government led by Ashok Gehlot in the state will have to beat an uphill challenge to come back to power for the second consecutive term.
The Congress candidates have also expressed dissatisfaction over the party spokespersons' obsession with attacking BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, saying they had little time to focus on the polls, the report added.
