Rahul Gandhi FIR In Parliament Scuffle Transferred To Delhi Police Crime Branch
The Delhi Police have transferred the case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to the Crime Branch for further investigation following a scuffle inside Parliament. The FIR, initially registered by the Parliament Street Police, accuses Rahul Gandhi of "physical assault and incitement" during the altercation involving BJP MPs.
This incident took place on Thursday when lawmakers from the NDA and INDIA bloc engaged in a jostling match during competing protests over "insults to BR Ambedkar."

Allegations and FIR Details
The FIR was filed after BJP MPs Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput were injured in the commotion. According to the BJP, Rahul Gandhi allegedly pushed the MPs to gain access to the House, resulting in their injuries. In response, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the BJP MPs threatened and physically blocked him from entering Parliament. He further accused the BJP of using this incident to distract from the ongoing Adani Group's indictment in the United States.
The FIR includes charges under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including voluntarily causing grievous hurt (117), criminal intimidation (351), and endangering personal safety (125), among others. The case will now be investigated by the Delhi Police Crime Branch, which has indicated that they will be reviewing footage of the incident.
Congress and BJP's Allegations Against Each Other
In addition to the FIR filed against Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party also lodged a police complaint on Thursday, alleging that BJP lawmakers had misbehaved with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge during the same incident. The Delhi Police are currently examining both complaints, and action will be taken as required, according to police officers.
Rahul Gandhi's sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, criticized the BJP for its handling of the incident, calling it an act of "desperation." She claimed that the repeated FIRs against Rahul Gandhi were part of a broader attempt by the BJP to target him politically.
Health Update on Injured MPs
Doctors reported that the injured BJP MPs, Sarangi and Rajput, are in stable condition and receiving treatment at the hospital. Both MPs are said to be in "better condition" as of Friday.
As the investigation into the Parliament scuffle continues, the Delhi Police will also review any available footage of the incident. The case is expected to be closely monitored by both political parties and the public, as it adds to the ongoing tensions between the Congress and BJP.
This latest development highlights the increasingly charged political atmosphere in India and the ways in which public protests and Parliament scuffles have become focal points for partisan conflict.
