Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was criticized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for issuing his second order from the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), with accusations that he is motivated by insecurity rather than serving the public interest, on Teusday.

Kejriwal was demanded to resign from his position as Chief Minister on moral grounds by BJP leader Dr. Harshvardhan, who asserted that Kejriwal's reluctance to step down demonstrates his greediness.

BJP Criticizes Arvind Kejriwal's 2nd Jail Order, seeks resignation

According to BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa, a chief minister is unable to issue directives while in jail, labeling Kejriwal's actions as a mere drama and lodging a complaint with the Lieutenant Governor (L-G) for strict action.

Harish Khurana, another Bharatiya Janata Party leader, accused Kejriwal of attempting to portray himself as a victim, highlighting Kejriwal's incarceration due to corruption charges related to the liquor policy case and the alleged involvement of Kejriwal in the scam, reported Hindustan Times.

Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested last week, purportedly issued instructions from ED custody concerning the availability of medicines and tests in government hospitals and Mohalla Clinics, as stated by Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj.

Simultaneously, a significant protest was launched by the Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi, demanding Arvind Kejriwal's resignation, with State BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva denouncing Kejriwal's alleged corruption and dishonesty and insisting on his immediate resignation, as per media reports.

Since the Delhi CM's detention by the ED, a high-voltage political drama has unfolded in New Delhi involving Aam Admi Party workers. Here are the following things that have happened so far:

1. Several Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers were detained by the Delhi police on Tuesday as they attempted to march towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence to hold a 'gherao' protest over the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

2. Arvind Kejriwal's arrest last week, linked to a money-laundering probe related to the liquor policy scam, has prompted demands from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for his resignation as the Delhi Chief Minister on moral grounds, as per media reports.

3. Scores of AAP workers, including Punjab minister Harjot Singh Bains and Somnath Bharti, were detained, with Bharti expressing shock over the police's actions and accusing them of targeting AAP supporters while ignoring BJP protestors.

4. The BJP also staged a protest in Delhi, led by State BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva, demanding Arvind Kejriwal's resignation, citing allegations of corruption and dishonesty against him.

5. Additional security measures were deployed around PM Modi's residence by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Devesh Kumar Mahla, who warned that protestors violating Section 144 would be detained.

6. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation announced the closure of certain metro station entry/exit points due to security reasons, including Lok Kalyan Marg, Patel Chowk, and Central Secretariat stations.

9. Delhi minister Gopal Rai had previously announced AAP's intention to "gherao" the Prime Minister's residence to protest against Kejriwal's arrest.

10. The Aam Aadmi Party alleges that Prime Minister Narendra Modi orchestrated Kejriwal's arrest to prevent him from participating in the Lok Sabha elections, while the opposition's INDIA bloc plans a rally on March 31 against Kejriwal's detention.
