Narendra Modi's flight was on the same route as MH 17

PM Modi, who returned on late Thursday night after attending the BRICS Summit in Brazil, left Frankfurt two hours before the Malaysian plane was shot down. However once news surfaced that the Malaysian plane was shot down in Ukraine, Modi's flight was rerouted.
Following the MH 17 tragedy, many airlines including US airlines are now avoiding the Ukrainian airspace.
Reports also suggest that Air India and Singapore Airlines were 25 kms away from MH 17 when it disappeared.
Meanwhile some reports have emerged saying Russian President Vladimir Putin may be the actual target and the Malaysian airline may have been mistaken to be his flight.
MH 17 was shot down on late Thursday night killing all 298 people on board including the flight crew.
