AAP likely to invite PM Modi, Kiran Bedi to Arvind Kejriwal's swearing-in ceremony

New Delhi, Feb 11: A day after decimating the BJP in the Delhi Assembly election, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday said that Arvind Kejriwal was keen on inviting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his swearing-in ceremony.

AAP said that Kejriwal sought an appointment with Modi in order to invite him to the swearing-in ceremony on Saturday, Feb 14 at Ramlila Maidan.

Will Modi attend Kejriwal's swearing-in?

AAP said along with Modi, members of the Union Cabinet and parliamentarians from Delhi would also be invited. Arvind Kejriwal will be meeting Home Minister Rajnath Singh today.

AAP leader Manish Sisodia told NDTV that AAP would even invite BJP's Kiran Bedi for the swearing-in ceremony.

Meanwhile, preparations have begun for Kejriwal's swearing-in at Ramlila Maidan. Chief Secy of Delhi will inspect Ramlila Maidan at 11:30am today.

Narendra Modi on Tuesday called Kejriwal and congratulated him on his victory in the Delhi assembly elections. AAP had won 67 out of 70 assembly seats in Delhi, while the BJP managed only three seats.
