Narendra Modi accepts Obama's invitation, to meet him in Sept

Obama had invited Narendra Modi when the former called him to congratulate on his historic win in the general elections this year. Obama had issued a statement then saying that he was looking forward to working with the Indian PM in the next few years.
However now Modi is set to travel to Washington in September to hold bilateral talks with Obama. The dates are yet to be finalised.
This comes to light after there was a huge hue and cry regarding Narendra Modi's visa issue after the Gujarat riots 2002. Post the Gujarat riots, US had rejected Modi's visa application citing International Religious Freedom Act, a move which was criticised by many.
Modi had raised quite a few eyebrows during his swearing-in ceremony when he had invited SAARC leaders to attend the ceremony including Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
