Manoj Tiwari Says Registration For Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, Rs 2,500 Monthly Scheme, To Begin From March 8
The Delhi Mahila Samriddhi Yojana aims to support financially disadvantaged women by providing Rs 2,500 monthly. The registration for this scheme will commence on March 8, as announced by BJP MP Manoj Tiwari. He urged women to register promptly, ensuring the entire process is completed within one and a half months.
In their election manifesto, the BJP promised financial aid to economically weaker women under the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. This initiative is part of their commitment to uplift women in Delhi. Tiwari highlighted that registrations for this scheme would begin soon, fulfilling a key electoral promise.

Opposition Criticism
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has criticised the BJP government for not approving the scheme during its first Cabinet meeting. They argue this contradicts Prime Minister Narendra Modi's assurances. AAP's chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar reminded the BJP of its pre-election promises, urging them to deliver on their commitments.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta responded by blaming the previous AAP administration for leaving behind empty coffers. She assured citizens that all promises made by the BJP would be honoured despite these challenges. Gupta emphasised her commitment to fulfilling electoral pledges.
BJP's Stance
Virendraa Sachdeva, Delhi BJP president, dismissed AAP's criticisms as baseless. He claimed that AAP leaders are creating issues following their defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections. Sachdeva reiterated BJP's determination to fulfil all promises outlined in their manifesto.
Kakkar also mentioned other promises made by the BJP before elections, such as providing LPG cylinders at Rs 500 and free cylinders during Holi and Diwali. She urged CM Rekha Gupta to take action on these commitments promptly.
